After watching the #oscars I really wanted to watch the movie who won the oscar for the « best movie » category. This film is called #Lion, not only this film won the best movie category but it also won 6 extra oscars ! What is it all about, you may ask?
Lion is the #truestory of Five year old #Saroo who gets lost on a train which takes him thousands of miles across #India away from home and family. Saroo had no choice but to try to survive alone in #Kolkata, before ultimately being #adopted by an Australian couple. Twenty five years later, armed with only a handful of #memories, his unwavering #determination, and a revolutionary technology known as #GoogleEarth, he sets out to find his lost #family and finally return to his first home.
So I went to wacth this movie with Sarah (my housemate at #mcalanguages) and with myriam student of #mcalanguages. Before deciding whether or not to go and watch this movie I checked online some #reviews about the movie and in every each of them there were always the same sentence : « I cried litters of tears »
So of course I came prepared and placed a box of tissues on my table but then as we were seated in the cinema and I was trying to reach for the box, I realised that I had forgotten it… little did I need to tell you that I was crying not litters of tears but tones of litters of tears and I was not the only one, I had my 2 friends who were just like me.
This movie is a #powerful movie ! A showcase of how when religion is applied in its true sense, faith and hope become the main focus of someone life to succeed in their search. This movie sends #deep and strong messages from the beginning to the end. A refreshing, touching and #marvellous film that deserve his success.
Without giving it all away and despite the fact that I gave you the main lines, I would definitely recommend this movie, the final scene is like a slap in your face and something so unexpected.
This movie #illustrated what is going on in #reallife in India and being a true story, it takes this movie to a different level. This movie depicts the life of people living in poverty and yet, being happy with the love and their family. In addition to that, Lion showcases the amount of orphans in India and how they are trying hard to survive. #LION is wonderful deep movie in which a lot of beautiful and scary messages are being portrayed. The actors were amazing and the picture was beautiful.
LION won several oscars well deserved and I will add one more : it deserves the Oscar for the best 21st century movie ! The creme of the crop !
