Guess the word?! It is a little fluffy ball with soft paws, cute ears and a moustache! Have you guessed it yet? Yes I am talking about my sweet cat Nala.
Nala was born on the 20th July 2015, on the same day as my mother (Yes I am talking about the day not the year! If not, my mother would be wayyyyyyy too young!) What a coincidence! Nala came into my life after one of my mother’s colleagues asked us whether we would be up for adoption as one of his cat has given birth to a big tribe of kittens.
The first time we saw her, it was love at first sight! She was sitting there, skinny and small, with her beautiful grey colour. She looked so vulnerable that we did not want to touch her. Just look at the picture right there to know what I am talking about.
Nala is the princess of the family! She spends all her time mewing so that we stroke her (I like to believe) or it might just be she wants food! But for the most part, she spends her time running through our legs so that we cuddle her. She is such a beauty, always playing with us, or always finding something to play with. Just like the HM bag here! Because if it is not my pens, shoes, bags, clothes, or shoelaces, she will find something to play with but I can’t be mad at her she is too cute! Seriously she is… look at these pictures! my heart melts everytime!
Now a lot of people are asking me, why Nala? Well, I am not that original, it is in fact the name of the best friend of Simba in the Lion King. By the way, my previous cat was called Simba. Let’s keep it simple! Plus, we were looking at a short name easy to pronounce and for Nala a name easy to respond to! Not only we did not have enough time to find a name because between the time of knowing she was up for adoption and our decisions there was little time!...and to add to this, my mum did not like the names I was coming up with!
